Precautions for Pressure Gauge Verification

After using the pressure gauge for a period of time, the internal parts are worn and deformed, resulting in various failures or changes in the value of the instrument, thus losing accuracy and causing out of tolerance In order to ensure the accuracy of the value of the pressure gauge and achieve the purpose of correct indication, safety and reliability, the pressure gauge shall be periodically calibrated. Pay attention to the following items when calibrating the pressure gauge.

1. Requirements for ambient temperature during calibration:

1) The ambient temperature requirements for precision pressure gauge calibration are:

Grade 0.25 is (20 ± 2) ℃;

Grade 0.4 is (20 ± 3) ℃;

2) The ambient temperature requirements for the inspection of general pressure gauges are: (20 ± 5) ℃;

Requirements for working medium during calibration

For the pressure gauge whose upper limit of measurement is not more than 0.25Mpa, the working medium must be air or other non-toxic, harmless and chemically stable gases.

For the pressure gauge with the upper limit of measurement greater than 0.25Mpa, the working medium can be liquid, such as transformer oil, medicinal castor oil, glycerin mixture, etc.

Requirements for standard instrument during calibration

1) The absolute value of the allowable error of the standard shall not be greater than 1/4 of the absolute value of the allowable error of the calibrated pressure gauge.

Provisions on verification points

1) The indicated value of the pressure gauge shall be calibrated according to the dividing line marked with numbers.

2) The upper limit of the pressure vacuum gauge is (0.3~2.4) Mpa, and the pointer should be able to point to the vacuum direction during the calibration of the vacuum part.
